The image on the right mimics
an example where a foil is used on both sides. As it is plain to see,
there are several problem here:- When you use a 'clean' section of foil to print, you will note that the foil will start to crease as it is fed through the two rollers inside any machine. This will cause a crease in the used part of the foil, in a random manner.
Now, if this foil is then
turned around and an attempt is made to reuse it, the crease in the foil
will miss out part of a print on your ribbon, thus leading to your work
being rejected. In this example, we have show an example of a random
crease mark by the diagonal line as marked by the yellow arrow. Problem 2 If you do try and use the foil by turning it around, then there is no guarantee that you next job by will be of the identical width as you first one. Thus, if the text in your second job is wider than your first job, then there will be an overlap of text (marked by the red arrow in the right hand image), which in turn, will give you a void in your printed ribbons. This will, once again, lead to greater rejections of your work.
To avoid such issues, we pioneered the additional 55mm foil rather than just the 110mm wide foil, which our competitors still latch onto. As they do not offer the 55mm foil, they have no choice other than try and advocate the use of their 110mm foil, both ways. Looking at problems 1 and 2 above, we clearly know what that can lead to!
The time you would end up
spending by turning foils around, missing out bits so as to avoid overlaps
etc could be time better spent in pushing your business forward. Save money on Foils with us - Let us show you how! Our 55mm foils are ideal for printing smaller width ribbons rather than the using the 110mm wide foils.
Furthermore, with our new
adapters, you can also save money and time by printing several ribbons at
once. This way, there will be no wastage of foil and you can work four
times as fast. This is a win-win situation! We can also custom-make any adapter for you to hold either, same or varying width ribbons! No one tries harder than we do to save you money and make you more productive.!

Please
Note: As denoted by the yellow arrow, you can clearly see what can happen when you try and turn the foil around in order to make use of the remaining part of the foil - you get overlapping which results in void prints in some areas and thus rejection of your work. Also, when you try and reuse the foil, you will get creases in your foil as this happens naturally when your foil if fed through the first time round. Crease mean misprints once again and again a danger if getting your work rejected. To make the best use of your foil, we would highly recommend that you either use our 55mm foil for narrower ribbons, or better still, use our adapters to get the maximum usage from your foils.
